Masafi Fort is located in the masafi town, in the Al Hajar mountain range near Fujairah border with Ras Al Khaimah, which goes through Masafi village.
Period: 19th Century
It is considered that the fort was built during the 19th century in order to protect the oasis which connects the eastern and western sides of the Al Hajar mountains and the fort was restored during 2012.
The fort has underground water systems which reflect the ancient techniques.
Access to the fort is free to access during daytime, although you will have to sign the guestbook of the guard. You have to follow the unpaved road from the signboard which will take you to the Masafi fort.
I could not find additional information about the masafi fort. If i get to know I will be updating the details in the same post.
